It's hard to believe that Baby Bean...Karsen...is already two weeks old!
She is doing wonderful. She is a good nurser and sleeps most of the night.
I too am coming along. My Dr. put me on a heart medication and although the side effects are not that great, I am slowly starting to feel better.
It makes me angry that my midwives didn't take me more seriously when I complained about my swelling and excessive fluids. Even post postpartum in the recovery room I complained of my back hurting. Little did I know it was the fluid on my lungs that was hurting my back. I am so greatful to God for giving me the wisdom to go to the doctor when I did. Had I ignored the warning signs (shortness of breath, rattling sound when I would breath, fatigue, swelling) there is no telling what could have happened. Listen to your body when it is telling you something!
I lost two days of Karsen's little life which we have been making up for. Thank God I didn't lose more! My wonderful Mom and grandmother...Mama Jo....drove up from North Carolina to help nurse me back to health. Family is such a powerful blessing. I miss my mom so much and to have her at my home waiting for me when I was released from the hospital made such a big difference in my state of mind. Mom's are angels.
