Gentle Reminder

In the hustle and bustle in the lives of a very busy family of 7 where something is going on 24/7, sometimes I need to sit back and remind myself of the blessings bestowed on me from my Lord, and my Savior.

It may seem like we never have enough time, never enough money, never enough material things, but that is my selfish sinner train of thought.

The truth is, my Savior has given me everything I could ever need in this life and more.

I need to remind myself of the poor Puritan's prayer who sat down to a meal of bread and water and said, "All this and Christ too?"

Thank you my Jesus, for the shedding of your blood. Thank you for the many times you have reached out to a horrible sinner like me and made me whole again. I do not always see the blessings of the dirty hand prints on my windows, or the sink full of dishes I have to clean each day but you see past that and continue to bless me anyways. How you could love a sinner like me is beyond the understanding of my simple human thinking mind. Amen.
