This is a picture of a loser attorney, Rick Hinnant of Winston Salem, NC who owes my dad 500.00 for failing to do anything with my dad's case. He probably cheats at golf, too.
My dad lost just about everything he owned in a fire this fall. It kills me to know that he reached out to an attorney for help dealing with his insurance company, paying him 500.00 and then the attorney did nothing and refuses to even call my dad back.
My dad paid this attorney named W. Rickert Hinnant $500.00 and this jerk did nothing. How is this not robbery?
This attorney won't even return my dad's calls. He has not made ANY attempt to contact my dad's insurance company either.
So on top of losing just about everything he owned to the fire, my father was also hosed for another 500.00 from this piece of crap attorney who on further inspection has been disciplined twice from the NC Bar Association for not staying in contact with clients and for improperly settling a clients case.
I will not rest until this man repays my father. I will be filing complaints with the NC BAR ASSOCIATION and will continue to let residents of the Winston Salem area know NOT TO USE THIS MAN FOR ANY LAW needs. I'm super ticked.

Rick Hinnant just phoned my dad and offered to give him his 500.00 back (funny how a little facebook & twitter & blogging works like that!
After 10 days and many emails, he finally paid my dad back. But this is not a trust worthy attorney and I would never recommend him to anyone. He cost my dad a ton of stress, possible insurance money. My dad is considering his legal options and I hope Mr. Hinnant finds a new job because he is not lawyer material.
My dad hired Mr Hinnant in November and he did nothing. To pay him back in February without so much as an apology is flat out wrong!

JUST talking about lawyers today with a friend of mine who after getting an estimate from their atty to draft up a business plan charged them 40% more. WT??? What we got out of that was...there is a reason no one like lawyers isn't there? They keep living up to the hype. What a jerk!

Sorry about your dad. Regarding the 40% fee, it may have been that because the client required that much attention.
ReplyDeleteRick Hinnant has also robbed me of thousands of dollars for retainer and my belongings (client records) and did nothing in my case concerning my business. I've reported it to the state bar but nothing has happenedas of yet. This man is making a career of scamming his clients it seems, glad to see your father got something back from him. Im also trying to go further than the state bar.

ReplyDeleteHi, I am so glad I found this. I was begging to think I was the only one having this problem with this so called lawyer Rick Hinnant. He has had my case now for going on 3yrs and at first everying was fine I was getting emails and updates on the case, but then it all went to crap. I have not been able to get in contact with him now for over a year, I have called so many time, emaile, and facebooked and yet nothing. I just went and searched for him on my friens on facebook and he is not even there any more! I was getting ready to call the N.C Bar, but now after reading I am not so sure that will get me any where. What to do? So upset because this case of mine has been going on for 5 years. Any suggestions I am open! Thank you..A
ReplyDeletemy suggestion is file a claim with the nc bar assoc. they can }reimburse you if they find he is in fact at fault. hinnant is in jail now charged with cyber stalking among other things. write letters, keep calling and dont stop til you get your money. good luck! trinity
ReplyDeletehe tool 5,000 as a retainor for my husbands murderers civil suit. I was never contacted by his lawyer and only found out from my husbands estate lawyer 6mths later. When they dismissed the case w/o prejudice. Now I have to find a lawyer to refile and also one to sure Rickert Hinnant for the money he illegally kept. I am devastated. My children and I lost our family lead and went through hell in court trials only for this creep to rip us off. During the arrangements I did have a close friend who also was a lawyer in the room and part of the discussions. He is not in the area I need in the civil wrongful death suits but he will testify against Hinnant for misrepresentation and fraud,.
