This summer has been a little stressful.
We knew in early June that we would be moving to West Virginia. Which meant we needed to find a new home ASAP. Luckily, we had never considered buying anything in Richmond so at least that part would be easy. It took over 9 months for our home in NC to sell.
It also meant that in between all the packing we would need to sprinkle in some fun for the kids.
We did the best we could at doing that.
We enjoyed an extended trip to North Carolina, a trip to Virginia Beach & Busch Gardens, trips to Belle Isle, the Civil War Museum and the Holocaust Museum in Richmond, and the boys took in a Reds game in Cincinnati.
One of the downers of being in WV is that school will begin next week. In Richmond, school doesn't start until after Labor Day. So, the kids are bummed about having a shortened summer by 3 weeks but we are all ready to begin this new adventure in our new home state!
