What 8 bucks bought me @ Goodwill Today

Today I went to the Goodwill OUTLET.

Its for professional thrifters ONLY!

Seriously, you have to DIG through every bin. Stuff is just thrown in there without rhyme or reason.

The payoff however, is everything is dirt CHEAP.

What you buy is weighed and based on the weight is how much you pay.

So today my stuff was about 2 lbs so it cost me under 8 dollars.

Here are some of the goodies I scored:

Serious Sugar Pick Me up

Have you ever heard of Amy Atlas?

Well in my opinion, she is the newest Martha via candy land.

Seriously, check her site & blog out.

Serious Eye Candy awaits. Prepare for inspirations abound!

Rummage Sale Renegade

This morning was the annual Methodist church rummage sale near my home.

This church has the best rummage sales I have ever been to.

A lot of the members are elderly couples. Many of whom have retired from RJR Tobacco.

That means lots & lots of pretty dishes, fabrics & collectibles and the prices are CHEAP.

Its cute to see the little old women in their cliques gossiping about this and that while the old men are responsible for the bagging and taking of money.

Which I have to say, these men SUCK at bagging. They just throw everything into the same bag...no newspaper to wrap fragile items...they all just get shoved into one bag.

But I love going & look forward to it every year.

This year I didn't find nearly as many goodies as years past but i still managed to blow about $40 and in rummage sale money -----that's like a lot.

I'm a little strained for time today but here are few of the goodies:

A few of my goodies! A HUGE vintage framed art print for $1, Richard Scarry vintage collection, vintage wrapping paper, vintage Homer Laughlin platter and
vintage picture frames.

I love this old jug or teapot. The robins egg blue color reminds me of Tiffany's.

Who can resist Richard Scarry?

I also found lots of old costume jewelry including vintage ear bobs, dessert dishes, vintage needlepoint pillowcases and more but will get to them later.

My favorite two finds are the robins egg colored vintage teapot and the classic collection of vintage Richard Scarry books.
