This church has the best rummage sales I have ever been to.
A lot of the members are elderly couples. Many of whom have retired from RJR Tobacco.
That means lots & lots of pretty dishes, fabrics & collectibles and the prices are CHEAP.
Its cute to see the little old women in their cliques gossiping about this and that while the old men are responsible for the bagging and taking of money.
Which I have to say, these men SUCK at bagging. They just throw everything into the same bag...no newspaper to wrap fragile items...they all just get shoved into one bag.
But I love going & look forward to it every year.
This year I didn't find nearly as many goodies as years past but i still managed to blow about $40 and in rummage sale money -----that's like a lot.
I'm a little strained for time today but here are few of the goodies:
A few of my goodies! A HUGE vintage framed art print for $1, Richard Scarry vintage collection, vintage wrapping paper, vintage Homer Laughlin platter andvintage picture frames.
My favorite two finds are the robins egg colored vintage teapot and the classic collection of vintage Richard Scarry books.
