Update on RICK HINNANT

Rick Hinnant, that d-bag of an attorney, finally paid my daddy back his $500. But what was most shocking to me was getting 2 emails from other clients he had taken advantage of who had seen this blog!

When is the NC BAR of North Carolina going to strip this loser lawyer of his license and protect the citizens of Forsyth County????

The media needs to get involved in this situation and see how many other victims RICK HINNANT has.

Things that make me smile.....

Vintage gifts from my baby sister Raini. They sit in a shelf beside my computer. I can look at them and have an instant smile.

What also makes me smile? Knowing I will see her in just 2 days. I cant wait!

Happy Birthday, Son

Happy Birthday, Son

It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know
You're walking in the truth
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow

Chorus:
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings

May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories

Chorus:

It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off
But I'll cheer as you fly

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays!

One reason I guess is because I went into labor with my first child on Valentine's Day 1994.

I had just finished my checkup at my OB/GYN and I was walking out of the office, my water broke. My mom & husband were with me and they both didn't believe me. But 17 hours later, I proved to be correct and gave birth to my first baby.

For his first birthday, I threw a big Valentine's theme party.

I have lots of wonderful memories of this holiday and I try to make it special for each of my kids too.

Flowers, chocolates and kisses....who wouldn't like a holiday with all that?

My Firstborn

On Tuesday, February 15th, my first baby, Jonathan will turn 17.

I was a teenage mom. 6 months shy of turning 20 when he was born.

So many people thought I was too young to be a mother. And they were probably right. In fact, I almost miscarried him when I was 3 months pregnant but I prayed to God and begged Him to let me have this child. He granted that prayer and I was forever changed the minute I became Jon-Jon's mommy.

I knew he would be a boy, I knew he would have big, brown eyes and I knew I was going to call him Jon-Jon. What I didn't know is just how much I would love him. Me & him have been through so much together.

Today, I consider him one of my best friends and I am so proud of his academic accomplishments. What I am most proud of is his love of Christ. Jon Jon just has a light about him and at 17, is a far better person now that I probably will ever be.

Thank you God for answering my prayer as I laid in the Emergency Room in August of 1993. I had been told that I was having a miscarriage. But you know far more than any doctor. You heard and answered my prayer and you gave me the most incredible gift that I know I did not deserve.

Happy Birthday 17th (on Tuesday) Jon-Jon. I could not have asked for a better first baby. Being your mommy is the best job I could have ever been given and you bring me pure joy. I love you, son!

A Year and 1/2

He's been dead now for a year and 1/2.

I miss him so much still. Our lives changed forever when his ended.

It's easy to look back on the many memories of him with a smile. So many photographs of him, always smiling. Cards, letters, little notes he wrote to us. We have them safely tucked away and when we miss him we pull them out and can smile easily at the thought of him.

I have his voice mails saved, many home movies (still haven't watched those yet---too hard I think it would be to see him like that) of happier times.

And dreams. I dream of him a lot. He is always in the background but I know he is there. I see him. I know in my dreams he is watching over us.

In the past year and 1/2 many things have changed. We have moved far from home, a new baby has come into our lives but what hasn't changed is my love for him.

Dear Papa,
How has it been a year and a half since I last held your hand? Tears still fall easily at the thought of you and how much I miss you. But when I think of the suffering you were under, it's easier to think of you being safe in heaven without any pain. It doesn't make me miss you any less though. I love you, and I anxiously await the day when I will see you again.
Love, #1

Spring?

Today it feels like Spring outside.

Its 60 degrees already. The sun is out, and birds are chirping away.

Only its February. I admit, its kind of nice to have the windows open and have some fresh air breeze through. But I like winter. I love snow. And I hate being hot.

When Spring comes, it reminds me of one thing....its almost summer and I can't stand summer.

So while I will enjoy this nice 68 degree weather we are having, I will be happier tomorrow when its back in the low 40's. That's my kind of day!
