Easter is About....

I read this passage from this blog:

The Easter Bunny is okay,
And Easter eggs are fun.
But Easter's not about that stuff.
It's all about God's son.

And it hit my heart with a powerful force.

Without the tomb, the cross wouldn't have meant anything. Death had to happen so life could begin. Isn't God so wonderful to give us this gift? At this time, more than ever, being a Christian means so much to me. Through trials and tribulations, God is so good to me. I am unworthy.

4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:4-7 NLT

  1. I had no idea that you have a blog even though you are a follower. This blog is so true. With children, it's easy to get caught up in tradition which is why it's so important that they know the reason for the season. This is awesome!! You have inspired me to get back going on mine. I actually forgot I had a blog.

    God bless,
    Corby
