Ice Scream Social


The awesomely talented Jennifer of Sweet Eye Candy Creations is the reason I began my blog.

Last December I was searching Google for vintage birthday items and a picture from her blog caught my eye.

I think I spent the next 2 hours on her blog reading and looking at her vintage treasures. It was enough for me to decide I should be blogging too.

Tomorrow she is hosting an ice cream social! Since my family has already planned a swim day and birthday party for my little sister at my moms house, we hosted our ice cream social tonight.

I didn't want to miss out on the fun so I hope she doesn't mind me posting my pictures a wee bit early.

If you are not reading her blog, (which I would find hard to believe given her popularity!), you will be in for a treat!


A vintage wooden tray (recent Goodwill find) is the perfect ice cream accessory!
The vintage ice cream sundae cups were a recent Ebay steal at just .99 cents for all three!





Another recent Goodwill find, a Jadite Fire King shell candy dish that I had just read about on Eddie Ross! I got 2 of them for $3 each!



Vintage Hazel Atlas Crinoline plates are always a smile maker and eye pleaser!












Ashton helped to make this clothespin fairy and then invited her to the party.



Ashton loved having an ice cream party!

    Ashton is adorable and it was so special that she brought her fairy clothespin to the party.

    Your tray and all the ice cream goodies were great. I just know I am going to gain back that 10 pounds that I just lost. I should have stuck with sherbet to eat.

    Jennifer does have a beautiful blog, its fabulous that she was the inspiration for you to start your own blog!
    I love your icecream photos, makes me wish it was summer in Australia...im in front of the heater right now :(

    I adored the clothespin fairy...such a sweet little thing! I loved your finds on ebay and at Goodwill....I'm a Goodwill fan from way back in the day! LOL!
