Meet my newest Nancy Ann. Isn't she pretty!
She was found on Ebay. I paid less than $10 for her.
One neat trick I have learned on Ebay is using the search engine to find my Nancy Ann's relatively cheap.
Since the older dolls are not always marked (they are sometimes marked 'made in japan') I search using words like, "vintage bisque doll", or "vintage storybook", or even "old made in japan doll".
You will be surprised at how many Nancy Ann's are thrown into this mix. And since they are not labled 'Nancy Ann' you will not have as many bidders trying to win her.
When sellers sell these dolls that they haven't taken the time to thoroughly investigate what it is they are selling, YOU the buyer are the one left to benefit!
This was the case with my newest Nancy Ann. She was simply titled, "Vintage Bisque Doll~ Story Book Doll~clean" and I won her for $10.
I loooooove you new Nancy Ann...She is so pretty...I to collect Nancy Ann dolls..There is just something about those sweet little faces you gotta love..
