My baby sister

Raini when she was 4

My baby sister is four years younger than me.

Growing up, we weren't always the closest siblings. 4 years age difference can do that. Especially when I was 16 and she was 12.

But in the last ten years or so, we have become extremely tight.

I told her many years ago, that there was no one on this earth, not even our children, who could be closer to being one another than her and me.

And during Papa's death, there was no one I felt more loved by than my baby sister.

We stayed by each others side the ENTIRE time Papa was in the hospital.

Something about his death, as sad as it is, made us even closer. Our bond became unbreakable as we dealt with the fierce sadness of losing him. We clung to one another. I could not have asked for a better grief buddy than her.

Living in Richmond, four long hours away from her is very hard. I miss her so much.

This past weekend we spent every day that I was home together. We both love shopping for goodies at Goodwill & thrift stores, so that's what we did.

Just me & my little sister.

Look what she found for me:
